Avicultural Society AGM will be held on March 25th and 26th.

The Avicultural society’s AGM 2017 will be held on the 25th and 26th of March, once again at Cotswolds wildlife park and, for something more out of the ordinary, our second day will be spent at nearby crocodiles of the world, taking in one of the best collections of crocodiles in the country.

FIRSTLY, 2 HOUSE RULES –
1.PLEASE REMEMBER TO CONFIRM YOUR ATTENDANCE WITH THE SOCIAL SECRETARY AS SPACES ARE LIMITED.
2.NO BIRDS ARE TO BE BROUGHT ON SITE AT EITHER COLLECTION FOR EXCHANGE OR OTHERWISE. IT COMPROMISES THE BALAI DIRECTIVE AND IS DISRESPECTFUL TO OUR HOSTS. CONSIDERING OUR CURRENT AVIAN FLU CONCERNS THIS CANNOT BE OVER EMPHASIZED, THIS INCLUDES THE CAR PARKS AND SURROUNDING GROUNDS.

This year we will be enjoying some interesting demonstrations and guest speakers, including respected avian vet Neil Forbes and a talk at crocodiles of the world where members will be able to get up close and personal with a live crocodilian!

There is lots going on and lots to see, and an evening meal at the nearby Windmill Carvery for those who wish to socialise outside of zoo hours! further details will be available shortly via the member schedules, non-members are very welcome to attend the parks and join us on both days but may miss out on some of the society specific meetings and fixtures.

If you need to confirm your attendance or have any questions at all please do contact the Social secretary at Christopher_kent@live.co.uk, I will be glad to help.

Also, a reminder to renew your membership if you have not already, Please get in touch with Kate Atwell to do this.

For your calendar, the Autumn social event at Blackpool zoo will be on the weekend of the 14th of October. More details on that will be available closer to the time.
